Decided to post this as new thread instead of continuing where it was on the 15mm fantasy thread as i believe that a lot of wargamers only need to see "15mm" in the title and they pass it over instead of having a look and seeing what is possible in smaller scales.
I apologise to those of you who have already seen this in the other thread but i promise to add some great pics at the weekend after the next game with mine and Admiral Benbows barbarian cavalry.
Fantasy SAGA Game
At last got a few friends into collecting some figures for our 15mm fantasy games. (Actually it was Copplestones barbarian cavalry that pushed them over the edge :D)
We had a game with my elves and Fugazi's newly painted barbarian warband. Admiral Benbow was going to bring the barbarian cavalry he is working on (http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=47372.msg809885#msg809885) but real life got in the way and he could not make it.
The barbarians used the SAGA viking battleboard and i used Franks LOTR Elven army battleboard for my elves. (Thanks Frank, Great boards!)http://tabletopdeutschland.wordpress.com/
Heres a few pics of the game.

Great report! I love the figs, and I love the terrain.

Wow!
Great work.
I hadn't noticed they were 15s.
I love the colors on the elves.
It really sets them apart.

15mm? Amazing!
Measure with a micrometer, mark with chalk, cut with an axe, hammer to fit, paint to match!

I've been trapped in a 15mm thread.

Great terrain, great painting, great game.

Here are the first of my barbarian cavalry.(They were my round 9 Lead painters league entry.)
They are of course the lovely Copplestone castings 15mm (17mm) Barbarica miniatures.
Looking forward to getting them on the table friday and very curious about Admiral Benbows cavalry that he is bringing.

SAGA Fantasy in 15mm/18mm - Barbarians vs Dwarves
Tried out my dwarves against the barbarians from mine and Micheals (Admiral Benbow) collection.
On the dwarf SAGA battleboard from Frank ( http://tabletopdeutschland.files.wordpress.com/2012/07/saga-hdr-zwerge.pdf) the dwarves have only "short move" which means against opponents with cavalry and missile weapons you have a serious problem.
Luckily for me Micheal played in true barbarian style and attacked early with his cavalry leaving his levy and warriors far behind meaning i could wipe them out piecemeal.
As the lighting wasn't very good i didn't get many good in game pics, but here they are with a few "staged" pics at the end.
