Nice work. I plan to put some of my zombie stuff up one of these days.

More survivors!

Probably my favourite figure of the bunch!

That paint is matte, all the highlights are actually painted on!

Fun one to paint, for some reason it was harder than I thought it would be...

I had to add some colour...

Thanks
n.

These are all bloody wonderful.
 :-* :-*

Please DO keep posting them as, even though modern zombie apocalypse is not my thing, these are really well painted miniatures and I can always 'suffer' them.

Zombie time!

I decided to go with gray skin... Why gray skin? When I was building my undead Kings of War army back in 2011 I had to paint up a lot of zombies, and so I did a lot of research and planning to make some cool stuff. You can see most of the discussion about zombie skin tones here in my Undead Army creation article: Week Seven: The First Zombie Regiment, but here's the gist:

Quote
For these, I wanted to do something that nobody else does, since there are millions of zombies out there already. So, I did some searching of my memory and realized that a dry climate with only barely-aged corpses would be the way to go. Thus, no obvious green infections that would require moisture. Such conditions produce dark grays in decomposing skin. Also dark brown works as well, depending on the skin colour of the dead person.

So we start with the abomination! What are those things sticking out anyway? Bone? Metal? Plastic? Glass? In the end, I didn't decide and painted them in a blue metally/glassy/plasticy kind of way.

Also, one single normal zombie. This is kind of a test figure. Note that I totally slacked off on quality blending and highlighting for this. I used only a single colour to highlight the tie, and I hate it. But the slack job on the pants and shirt aren't too bad, given the guys is dead and shouldn't look all that great (or am I wrong?). I don't want to take too much time to paint these though, since I have to paint a billion of them!

Thanks
n.

A few people asked for my recipe for bright red hair after seeing Elsa.

Check out my article on bright red hair here:

I have returned from the dead! Just like these zombies that I finished recently.

I like these figs, but there are very many to paint...

Thanks
