The Adventures of Squirrel and Moose (Pulp Alley AAR)
« on: June 13, 2014, 02:34:36 AM »
(Not to be confused with Rocky and Bullwinkle)

Somewhere is South America…

Squirrel and his trusty sidekick Moose have been employed to vanquish a ghost haunting an old woman’s grounds. Moose grunts and shoulders his bat, “Why is it always ghosts? Why not something to spice it up like zombies or mummies?” Squirrel rolls his eyes, “Maybe we’ll find you some Aztec zombies on our way back to the states.”

Squirrel and Moose drive to the nearby cemetery in attempts to locate and burn the ghost’s remains.

Squirrel sights a pile of bones, perfect place for a restless spirit. He rummages through the pile and decides to just burn the entire pile just to be safe. Nothing happens.

Moose looks over tombs before he finds a tomb that looks suspicious. He crouches to get a better look, brushing away grime to read the name. A burst of energy pushes him back, knocking the air from his lungs. He looks up and the ghost has emerged from hiding.

“Found it!” Moose calls out before the ghost knocks him down, leaving a gash on his head. Squirrel rushes to his brother’s help.

Squirrel runs to aide his brother. He hears a groan to his right and turns to see a ghoul crawling out of its grave. He shoots it with a silver bullet and the ghoul goes down. He continues towards the ghost.

Squirrel gets within range of the ghost before firing silver rounds, injuring the apparition.

Another ghoul crawls from its grave to shamble towards Squirrel.

The ghost charges, entering a brawl with Squirrel. He fights back with his iron knuckles, momentarily injuring the ghost but gets hurt in the process.

The ghoul reaches Squirrel and enters the brawl.

Moose struggles to his feet and charges into the combat to help Squirrel.

More ghouls crawl from the graveyard and towards the fight. “I take it back, ghosts are enough.” Moose grunts.

Moose swings his bat, etched with enochian sigils, at the ghost. The ghost goes down but not before hitting Moose with a burst of energy, knocking him unconscious.

More ghouls swarm Squirrel and he fights to fend them off.

Squirrel jumps back away from the horde and quickly throws a match on the remains of the ghost, the ghouls sinking back into the earth. He helps Moose to his feet. “Come on, I took care of it while you were napping.”

This was a fun little scenario. I was testing out the “Duo” perk with my new league. I thought it was pretty fun.
