The Prisoner
« on: July 24, 2008, 12:08:50 PM »
The new Artizan/Copplestone Kiss Kiss Bang Bang minis have me feeling inspired. I'm on the verge of building a scale hollowed out volcano with monorail and rocket launch site for some Bond-type nonsense.

But I like the Prisoner-style figure. It has me wondering - what other minis might be pressed into service in a Village scenario?

I posted this on TMP and got a mixed response, so I'm posting here too. I'm aware of the old GURPS Prisoner supplement, and the potential pitfalls in trying to recreate something where there's essentially no combat. Right now I'm really just interested in possible minis to use. Dinky Mini-mokes seem to come up eBay fairly often, and of course, Rover will be making a guest appearance in the guise of a ping-pong ball...

Thanks ~

The only thing I can think of straight away would be other Artizan figures from the Thrilling Tales range. Especially the cads with the bowler hats. Most would need guns etc snipped off, but that seems like the place to start to me.

Other that that, I can't think of anything that distinctive about the characters in the series that would mark them out from any generic civillian figures, and a paintjob would serve to identify them as belonging to a Prisoner-style set up.

Aside from the dwarf butler, of course. That would be quite specific.

Good point on the civvies. The simple addition of a white badge with a painted number should be sufficient to denote a Villager. Maybe a green-stuffed cape or two as well.

Can anyone recommend some good civilians - I know lots of Victorian minis, but maybe something a little more modern?

Also found that Eureka do a good 28mm penny farthing!

Be seeing you ~

What did my head in, on a rewatch, was the pointless see-saw in the control room.

Hello Dave....

Now there's a scenario, the Pandemonium Circus versus the 'Good' folk of Royston Vasey. It would be like a viking raid, but funnier.

As for The Prisoner, I seem to recall a lot of striped blazers and boater hats. The 'organisation's' henchmen wore the ubiquitous black polo neck sweater and cream trousers of all self-respecting 60's thugs.
