I'm going all in on Gob, making armies out of LotR and Oldhammer minis in 28mm, and just ordered 15mm Copplestone barbarians for a Thousand Tribes 24 pts army.

The story so far:

Played a 15mm game at Argonor's Attic Attack I:

Bought the rulebook shortly after:

Then hosted a 28mm game in Argonor's Attic last Thursday:

And today I ordered Copplestone barbarians for a 24 pts Thousand Tribes army!  :D

 8)

It's the first fantasy 'battle' game that has ever spurred me on to actually get some games going. Simple and elegant, without any of the usual micro-management and fiddly movement rules, just action and fun!

A GREAT LOOKING game! The forest & hills (Geo Hex?) are a striking setting for your TERRIFIC minis.
I'd NEVER join a club that would have me as a member.  G.Marx

Thanks!

The landscape-ing is geo-hex Gamescape (and some Battlescape I reflocked). Such a shame they are not avalable anymore! Especially as I can never find the triangular plastic 'locks' to keep them from sliding apart in the heat of battle  lol  Well, some thin plasticard and a knife should do the trick...

The Dale and Laketown minis are not mine, but owned and painted by the newcomer to our group, Marc, whom we introduced to GoB and SAGA on this occation.

And, of course, the 15mm stuff is by @Torben and @dijit, hopefully to be squished by my steppe barbarian hordes any day soon  ;)

Awesome! The Geo-Hex looks like it works well with your terrain, minis, and game. They provide height for visual interest, and cool pathing for gameplay. I love the imagery of your ruins scattered about the battlefield. Nice job with the pictures, thanks!

Congrats on breaking in welcoming a new guy!

Thanks!

I hope to get a few more games going this summer holidays (but we're probably going away trailer-camping some of the time).
