Time for something a little different to my recent Khornate figures - here's a new Ash Wastes nomad atop his trusty steed:

He's made from an old Citadel mounted ranger on top of what I think is a Grenadier steed. I gave him the rifle and a new head.

As ever, more words and pics over at my blog.

Thanks all! I've had the steed identified as a Ral Partha AD&D Crodlu - there were apparently other variants, so I may have to try and track them down.

I've been away from the forum for a bit and have just been catching up.  The Khornate warband is very cool, and I love the Ash Waste Nomad.  Great work as ever.

Thanks for all the kind words on the nomadic rider!

@Genghis - hopefully this thread continues to offer up things you like to see, irrespective of the length of absence :)

My latest figures are a deep space salvage crew. They are 4 new figures painted to match the one on the left that I painted up a few years ago.

All 4 humans are based on the same figure - the Citadel limited edition LE10 Power Armoured Marine. The far right trooper is unmodified, but the other three have variously been reposed or had head swaps. The robot in the rear is a current Forgeworld Thallax which clearly was design in homage to the LE10 figure. Hopefully they work well enough as a group.

I plan to use them as a squad of Terminators in Space Hulk in a few weeks time.

More details can be found over at my blog.

Brilliant conversions, especially given the original awkward pose to work with.
They look much better than simply knocking out a termie squad.

Thanks Mason. I do want to paint up some Terminators someday, but these are much more in keeping with the rest of my figures.

@hubbabubba - yes, brown and sepia washes over the muted orange, then attacked with dark grey dabbed on with some blister foam.
