I think they are great, your photos. I'm trying to up my photo game myself, but having only a compact digital camera from yesteryear (10+ years old) and the one on my phone makes it hard...

I'd always been intrigued by the Blanche concept art description of Techs wearing white, and had found it quite hard to visualise.

Once again you're making all our Confrontation dreams come true - thanks!

@Ockman - I'm in a similar position. I use an old (7-8yrs) compact digital camera. I did get some tips on how to maximise it's use though - good lighting was the biggest contributing factor. I invested in a pair of anglepoise desk lamps with white bulbs and it made a real difference.

@Raedwald - I'd seen some really nice grey Techs, and some great orange ones, but really wanted to try white. Glad it's working for you!

I painted up another 4 Techs over the weekend, bringing my total to 8. This time it's some combat orientated guys, plus the Leader and a plasma gunner:

The Jes Goodwin Tech Baron sculpt I'm using as the leader is a gorgeous figure, but dare I say it, a little trickier to paint with all the details than the other Techs.

Beautiful paint jobs, love the weathering on the metal. Very natural looking! Any chance you could please share your recipe for that white? I've always struggled with it...

@Scarper - The white is pretty simple. I do a couple of thin coats of GW's pallid wych flesh over a black undercoat to get a solid colour. I give it a wash with a thinned brown wash. I then go back over with pallid wych flesh, then highlight by mixing in increasing amounts of white. The top highlight is no more than 60/40 white/pallid wych flesh.

Two new Techs to add to the gang. The heavy stubber is converted from an old Chainsaw Warrior figure, with a new haircut, apron and bionic leg. The lasgun guy is unmodified.

Nice work.
Another seamless conversion.

That same fella is in my 'may be turned into a Necromunda ganger one day' lead pile too, but I would never have considered giving him an apron!
Nice choice.

Fantastic take on some truly classic Sci-Fi models! Awesome job, Axiom!

If you're looking for a sci-fi skirmisher that would do all of your gangs justice in a multiverse, all-sci-fi-minis-welcome setting, definitely check out Starfall. 20 different factions covering pretty much any sci-fi motif you can think of, but it's not just a bunch of fluff. The rules are also very balanced, efficient and competitive (and FREE): https://www.starfalltt.com/

Again, great job!

Thanks guys!

@Mason - aprons are de rigueur for in the Tech fashion world ;)

@Burma44 I'll take a look at the Starfall rules. It's just the sort of thing I like, although I'm spoilt for choice with Necromunda, Rogue Stars and even Dracula's America ;)

A whole host of new things I've completed over the last few weeks. First up is a forthcoming set of terrain from Fogou Models.

I painted up the walls with some graffiti to reinforce the setting.

But it's flexible enough to be used for a whole range of setups.

I also painted some new figures to go with the terrain - a graffiti artist (an old Citadel Judge Dredd perp):

And a pair of farmers (another Dredd perp and a figure from Citadel's Gothic Horror range):

Finally I've created a new figure for my Tech gang, including a pair of heavily modified and partially scratchbuilt arms:

As ever more words and pics over at my blog.

Cool! I think I have that perp squirreled away somewhere myself.

Lovely additions to the project.
Some great work on making those Perps and GH figures fit right in.
Brilliant.

I really love the tech ganger, though.
A wonderful bit of vision and conversion.

Thanks guys! Glad you like the new figures.

@Dr Mathias - not every Citadel perp is a classic, but there are plenty of gems in the range. They're very useful as generic sci-fi civilians.

@Mason - glad you like the Tech. It was a bit of a faff getting his arms to look right, but I'm glad it worked out :)
