Good work Mick, I was thinking about painting up the same model, as I undercoated it the other weekend.

I also have a bunch of British Artillery as well, that is ready to go.

A great start to the club. I might have to see if I can paint up the remaining uhlan from my LPL entry (I had 6 but only painted the necessary 5 to save time!). At least it's undercoated.

The badges are right there on the first post, Mick. Simple way is just to link to the badge in your signature just as if you were posting a picture normally. Depending on your browser there usually is an option to grab the link if you right-click on the picture.

But in case you have any trouble with that these are the links:

(with lettering)

http://leadadventureforum.com/gallery/18/163_03_07_14_9_27_30_2.jpg
(without lettering)

However, once people have a lot of badges they often prefer to use some image-editing software to splice all their badges together into a single image, host it themself on some image-hosting site (or in their own LAF gallery) and link to that instead. I think that's because there are a limited number of images allowed in the signature so once you are in a number of clubs it becomes impossible to display them all unless you combine them. Think that's it, but am not totally sure as I've never gone in for images in my signature personally.

Just a little reminder, can club members please put the number of their entry somewhere in their post. Helps keep track of how far we have got towards the hundred minis.  :)

It was suggested that I put this in here, and now that I know that the thread exists, I have  :)

15mm 18-pounder from Peter Pig, with semi-detached crew. I have some gallant Boche winging their way to me from the UK at this very moment, so my brave lads of the BEF will have a bit of competition once I get them painted.

Hi folks,

that's perfect timing since I finished my first two WW1 figures yesterday:

Painting them was great fun. The sculpts are very well and the figures are full of character. For the choice of colours my special thanks to Mark Hargreaves. Most of you will know his blog "Over open Sights" or his presece here. anyway he always and the excellent miniatures here and there. Mark is a very gifted painter as well as a kind and very helpful chap. He's offering some painting guides on his blog and was kind enough to answer me some further questions. So my colour choices base on his tutorial with only a few replacements for colours I didn't have.

As usual I used Vallejo Model Colors and some inks and washes from various manufacturers. For the first time I didn't use spray varnish. Instead I employed Marabu Mattlack (matt varnish) from the paint pot. It was very easy to apply and dryed cristal clear. A really good alternativ to the spray cans with which I didn't make good experience only.

I hope you like them.

Cheers
Stefan
