Partie de Pulp Alley -- French AAR
« on: July 29, 2014, 12:10:46 AM »

It was a short AAR, so here's a quick translated version:

=======

Here's a few quick photos of a game of Pulp Alley I had in June with Pierre and Stéphane. This allowed us to conclude our campaign "The Quest for the Golden Calf" which started a year ago.

Background: An ancient and fanatical cult is summoning a monster form another age and the adventurers must try to recover the golden calf (or what's left of it) and stop the ceremony.

---

Start of the match

The fanatical cult is preparing for the ceremony with the sacrifice of one of the crew of the Sea Wolf.

Max and Flower move up to try and save the crewmember.

Positions are staked out

Stanford has almost arrived at the ruined temple.

But Jacqueline Wang twirls her way around to beat him to it...

Too late! The spell is complete and the terrible monster rises. Run, you poor fools!!!

I don't recall why he was so far from the temple, but Max is now in danger!

Max and Flower managed to dodge but Stanford has found a new challenge.

He's too strong for Stanford, who leaves the beast to Andrew McConnor.

End of Game

No one managed to take the major plot point, which was the cult leader. McConnor's team (played by Stéphane) captured on minor plot point, Lady Clifford's team (played by Pierre) scored another, and my own team grabbed the other two. Very nice game as usual with these rules, with thanks to Pierre and Stéphane.

To anyone passing by, these rules were translated into French by Alaric and is available for a very reasonable 7.50 euros on the Pulp Alley site. I definitely recommend that any pulp lovers out there buy them and try them.

Next year we will be playing the Perilous Island campaign and you'll be able to follow that on our Pulp Alley blog, by Pierre.

I joined my gun with pirate swords, and sailed the seas of cyberspace.
