Pure eye candy.
Love it!

Great looking stuff --- source for the table top?  Is it vinyl or some sort?  Looks excellent.

The tabletop was made by a french manufacturer Aide de camp), in latex. The owner decided infortunatly to stop the production...This one was made specially for Saga (90 X 120 cm).

I was going to exactly that question.
Will have to give some consideration in how that 'effect' was achieved, it looks top notch.

The way the figures are arranged looks different to "original" Saga. They look more like units with the base to base contact. Is that a difference in the rules?

It seems to take it away from the skirmish to more full scale battle "lite"

Arranged like that, you're sure that all your warriors fight ! They must be at VS max of the opposant. Base to base, there's no doubt.
All Warriors fight if there are three bases of footmen, or two bases of cavalrymen.
