Rather than post pics here and there, I thought I would crave your indulgence and post pics in this one thread. My latest unit is pictured below, I have also included another pic of Legio II Traiana, they have appeared before but have included them for completeness. All figures are from A & A Miniatures and shield transfers from LBMS, based up on MDF from Warbases for Neil Thomas's Ancient Rules, the frontage is 120mm so I can use them with Impetus too.

Thanks chaps. I hope to have better quality pics for the next unit, hopefully Henry's photography tips article in the forthcoming MWBG will help.

Looking good, especially the shields.

Also using NT's AMW here but have decided to base everything on 100mm frontages and use markers at the rear of the units to record hits. Roman vs German game this coming weekend set in the early 3rd C too.

Thanks for the comment, Dave has based his forces up on 120mm Impetus bases, we can continue to use them for AMW, marking bases lost as you are. Hopefully we will be having a rematch between Pompous and Baldinus tomorrow. Watch out for a report on proceedings in due course.

I'm making up casualty bases with a figure and two dice frames from Minibitz to show the hits.
I'll be using the Old Glory dark age casualties for my Germans and should have one or two finished shortly. I've also made up event cards for the games justi o add an extra dimension and extra "friction" for the players.

Love the blog too.

Thank you and welcome to the blog.
Did not know that Minibitz did dice frames I have been making mine on the casualty base, I will check them out.
