Tyger (Cassius Wulf): Cassius and Bruce Kent grew up together in the Roost, a bad part of Crow City. Cassius did run with the local gangs for a while, but got framed for a murder he hadn’t committed and fled the country. In his search for redemption and vengeance he travelled the world to find the best suited instructors to give him the means. After several years away he finally felt ready to come back home and clear his name, he had only stepped off the ship and met his old friend when the former mafia boss Marconi and his gang of mercenaries and villains exploded on the scene. This has escalated and is slowly turning into a personal vendetta. He is aided throughout by the stoneskinned powerhouse Gargoyle.
He has studied multiple combat disciplines and is one of the best hand-to-hand combatants in the world, he has learned to almost preternaturally perceive the world and can render most humans completely immobile by a mere touch, also extremely nimble, agile and quick, he can with ease traverse a building several stories high.
Gargoyle (Bruce Kent): Bruce Kent was Cassius Wulf’s best friend, even though they were so different. Bruce was always a bookish type and managed to get good enough grades to take him out of the Roost, away from the crime and violence. He had a love for history and languages and has become quite respectable in the academic world. During an excavation in France, Bruce uncovered an odd small stone statuette of a macabre disposition. As soon as he touched it, it crumbled and an evil entity invaded his mind! It took Bruce several hours to regain control over himself as he battled with the evil entity for, literally possession of his Mortal Soul. In a mind duel he defeated the entity and bound it to him, but he can always feel the entity looking for a crack in the soul prison, day and night. By calling upon the entity’s mystical powers, the bookish Bruce can turn into a powerhouse of stone with large batwings, able to lift great weights and emit a powerful sonic scream, the Gargoyle Cry, but it’s draining on his capabilities.
Coldsnap (Officer Amelia Treudeu): Ever since she was a little girl, Amelia wanted to make a difference. She decided to become a police officer and has done good ever since the academy. She has risen quickly in the ranks and is now a detective, but she harbours a secret!!! She is also the fairly new heroine Coldsnap, a quite powerful Meta with sub-zero powers. She can fire icicles that can go through a car, skate really fast on sheet of self-generated ice, encase people like ice cubes and the radiant sub-zero temperature from her being will definitely give anyone touching her a major frostbite. The only limit seems to be that not all powers can be used at the same time.
Boss Marconi: Rocco Marconi had great ambitions and was ruthless in obtaining them, he was at the top of the criminal world in Crow City, nothing happened without his say. That is, until someone had other ideas and killed Marconi and left him in an unmarked grave in the swamp outside the city. However, Boss Marconi was not staying dead for long, something happened, whether it was a pure fluke, his life force too strong or thirst for vengeance is anybody’s guess, but he clawed himself out of this grave after a few days, changed forever. Yes, Boss Marconi WAS dead and still is in some part, but his body can heal at an astonishing rate and his powerful mind can both kill with but a thought and make people dance like puppets to his command. Despite the finest suit he wears, he still looks like a slightly decomposed human with a grinning skull for a face.
Jack of Straws: No one is really sure whether Jack of Straws is a real human being inside the scarecrow suit or some kind of embodied spirit. Jack has an uncanny ability to almost intuitively know what peoples greatest fear is and can make the hardest, toughest hitmen cry for momma. “He” can also summon huge flocks of crows that seem to come from some extradimensional plane, either to distract presumptive heroes or claw and peck. It has also been demonstrated that Jack can, at times, become able to even walk through walls and no physical means can harm “him”.
The Immortal Ogre: There are records in Crow City library going back to the colonial times about “a huge, malevolent beastly humanoid that is devoid of any human emotion bar one. Unbound Rage!!!” The Immortal Ogre has figured throughout the times, but with increasingly numerous activities towards our days, maybe there is a connection to the appearances of the Metahuman individuals. The Immortal Ogre doesn’t seem to possess more than animal cunning and basic instincts, chiefly being driven by this Rage, he has immense strength but the greatest power seems to be its relentlessness. On numerous occasions it has been hit with violence enough to level the whole city, but still it keeps on coming.
The Ferryman & Lady Asp: They are two of the world’s best mercenaries/ assassins and they are an item! The Ferryman is an ex-Army demolitions expert who also happen to be an extremely deadly shot with any firearm and with either hand, whilst Lady Asp is a really good at getting in and out without being discovered, strike the target with her poison gun and things tend to, for some reason, always go her way. The Ferryman has also got his own staff of three highly skilled mercenaries with very dubious morals. Boss Marconi hired the team a while back to roll a train full of explosives into Crow City, with the objective to sow anarchy, chaos and fear, but the plan was foiled by Tiger and Gargoyle who made the train explode outside the city limits instead.
