Heroclix Repaint - Batman
« on: September 09, 2014, 04:15:30 PM »
My first superhero miniature.  I got this Heroclix figure years ago as a free giveaway, and it sort of hung around my painting area untouched for a very long time.

I rebased it on a washer, cleaned up the mold lines and gaps at the shoulders.  Primed over the existing paint, and painted with Vallejo paints:

This is also a test to see if my new phone is up to the task of miniature pictures.  Not so great, I guess.  I should probably go back to my digital camera.

The phone pic is OK but not great, maybe a bit grainy...

Looks good to me. I take almost all of my photos with my iPhone. With decent lighting you can get them to turn out pretty well.

It's too bad Heroclix can't just manufacture unpainted metal figures of their most popular molds....

Great job here!  Batman looks proper!

Great paint job.

You really bring "life" to a plastic mini.

Thanks for sharing.
I know you're too old to play with toy soldiers. So give them to me... NOW!

Really nice repaint (I love heroclix repaints, some of their sculpts are really nice).

Concerning photo itself, I'm afraid it cannot replace a decent dgital camera with a real optical (mechanical) zoom and focus.

Probably right that I should stick to my camera.  I'm pretty bad at taking pics of minis, without being hampered by my equipment as well.   o_o

And thanks for the kind comments.  More supers on the way...

Looks good.

I'm  going to see what fairy power spray does to the paint on pre paints as when u do strip em there's so much more detail present.

Will report back when I do.
