Help sought re 28mm Naploeonic figure compatibility
« on: September 07, 2014, 05:27:38 PM »
Hi - I wonder if anyone can help?

I have just started a long term project, the Peninsular War in 28mm. So far I have restricted myself mainly to Foundry, Offensive and Perry miniatures but these leaves me short in a few areas notably anything Portuguese as well as Spanish Artillery and Cavalry. I have wondered about Paul Hicks' figures for Brigade (I love Paul Hicks' work) but am wary about getting figures sent over the pond from the USA. I've also considered Front Rank but am worried about size compatibility? (Everything must match up with Perry's etc).

Can anyone provide any pointers for manufacturers to consider?

Any help/advice is hugely appreciated.

You can get Portuguese figures from Brigade Games (ex Victrix minis) and they size up nicelly with the perrys.
Paul Hicks sculps are slightly smaller but very good also.
Any doubts just pm me and i can take some comparative pics.

Thanks - sort of confirms I'll have to order the Portuguese from Brigade in the States. Many thanks.

I'd suggest ditching Foundry as they are too short to mix with both the twins and Paul :-)
