Indian Elephants

Okay, sahibs! Who does the best Indian elephant? Ebob? I'd like to do a tiger (or monster!) hunt vignette, making my own howdah.  I know the Perry's did one for Foundry, which I have, but I'd like one a little larger, to match today's minis.  Brigade Games' 'Lost World Explorers' are perfect for the hunting party.  While I'm at it, who does a decent tiger?

The Ebob elephant is a bit small but it is not out of scale. IE vary in size so it could very well be representing a young female. I've got one in my Indian Army supply train.

Personally I like the Foundry elephant - but realise it must be a little small for what u want.
Sorry to change the subject - but I'd love to know if anyone games a purely "big game hunt" and how it works. I think it would be a lot of fun.

Anybody have any experience with Vendel's elephants? Appears they're back in production and this one looks very good.

Hmmm. Interesting. The paintjob is however so bad it is hard to tell the quality of the detail. Can anyone tell me the quality of sculpt on that war room one?

I made some modifications to a Hat Indian Elephant (Hat 8142).  Used scupty (or femo, or something) to make the accoutrements, added some rails with turned toothpicks, and made the seat from balsa.  The soldier is a Zulu Wars British.



The paint job is, I know, not up to snuff with most of this board, but bear in mind it was one of my first.

If you are looking for big you might want to try the Redoubt Elephant with Mahout from the Wellington's Indian Battles Range.  It is a real beaut.
