What  a great afternoon, thanks so much to all those new backers that came on board today!


 You can add these figures to your pledge for £5 per set (I'll ask which ones you want after the campaign has finished) they make great objective markers, diorama components or even basing elements.

I'm sorry that I can't offer these for free to higher level backers even as they cost to much to produce, the total met means that I can offset the potential added postage and spin cost alone.

Let me know if you have any ideas for further goals? I am working on those diver figures still and hope to be able to add them soon bur I need to confirm costings and have more to show you, I don't like having backers "pledge blind" so to speak.

good morning backers and all the rest of you reading.

here are the pictures of the beast in it's constituent parts.


 Apologies for the filter, my phone decided that I'd pressed the button! This is a "submaster" resin cast identical to what you will receive. the fittings are very good as I sculpted the figure with no wires inside the parts allowing me to get a very clean cut indeed! You may need to cleen a little resin where the casting feed enters each part on the join but then the parts will sit together nice and flush. Also due to how I've cut the tentacle parts there's no ambiguity in what goes where, just make sure you put the "feet" on the right side, they point "backwards" for want of a better term.


 Here's a size shot against a ruler so you can see the height of the monstrosity, just scraping 90mm to the tip of the tallest tentacle.


 Lastly here's the beast in comparison to the "universal size comparison tm" model.

 The divers are now unlocked as add ons for £10. As they're not freebies anyone can add them to their pledge, just go to "manage my pledge" and add multiples of £10 per five man pack that you'd like.

These figures are extensive reworks of my original Steam punk infantry models (including one pose that never made it to production!) and will never be cast again after the campaign so this is the only way that you'll be able to buy them. If you think that your friends might want them then please let them know.

William Scorsby III


Pride of the British whaling fleet and coming from fine nautical pedigree, William Scorsby III has stepped from the prow of his ship onto the dry land of catastrophe-ravaged France. Backed by the affluence of his trade, he has taken to terra firma armed with his Aethero-magnetically propelled explosive harpoon gun. His compulsion for the hunt comes from his avarice. Huge sums of money are offered in exchange for the physical by-products of extradimensional entities. Ditch prince oil and other strange commodities fetch a high price, and that’s just Scorsby’s speciality – the carcass of just one beast is enough to pay for a hunting party, transport and immense profit to plough back into future expeditions. Scorsby’s wealth is always turned back to the hunt – a life of luxury means little to him when the lure of fame of fortune beckons.

Rules

William Scorsby III

Q6 Trained solider equivalent (In a Trained Soldier element, Scorsby’s Quality is not increased further).

Special Rules: Assault Trooper (Scorsby is subject to the Assault Trooper rule even if the rest of his element is not). 

Weapons: Explosive Harpoon.

Explosive Harpoon (3 points per model): This modified harpoon gun delivers a payload of Aetheric explosives into the heart of its target – there’s no coming back from that! This weapon may only be fired once per round. Against targets with more than 1 Mass point, the explosive harpoon inflicts D3 Mass damage rather than 1 (roll a D6; scores of 1-2=1, 3-4=2, and 5-6=3).Wounds inflicted with this weapon on non-mechanical targets cannot be regenerated. One shot per round.

The model.


William is a three piece resin casting, supplied with a 25mm plastic slot base, he was sculpted by hand by me.

I hope that you like the figure and if you're not playing Steam & Aether, then you're bound to find a use in your tabletop games or display cabinet.
