Well let's see if this works,

If so, then here are some links to appropriate pieces of movie dialog.

Love the wargame one.  Should be said at the start of each game
Barbarella: What's that screaming? A good many dramatic situations begin with screaming...

That's from "Oh! What a lovely War." I often used to put that in my posts when linking to battle reports on TMP (just the written words that is, not actual audio).

Good call on the 'Wargame' Quote,

It is from Attenborough's "Oh What A Lovely War."  The first, and probably only, musical film made on W.W.I  I went to see it as a boy, and was tremendously confused when all the actors in the 'War Movie' broke into song.  Oh, and when the French cavalry suddenly mounted up onto a carousel.

Here is some more dialog, if anyone is interested.

I really, really like the song at the end. Finally some kind soul has put it on Youtube (before you could only get Mario Lanza singing the original version without the Great War changes to the lyrics)...

One of these days I must find a soundtrack album so I can play it whenever I want.

Thanks for that one, Poly.  My parents had an LP of O What a Lovely War - I must have worn it out as I was growing up, playing it so often.  I've never seen the musical or the movie, but I attribute my abiding interest in the War to End All Wars to that old record!

Now, can you upload a copyright free version of Army of the Nile so I can play it in an endless loop at my office?

Argh!

"Major Disappointment" posting on the Lead Adventure Forum.

Soon all the Bengal Club Majors will be in residence, and not just the sophisticated, tie wearing, Belgian ones.

Dow

PS - And no inside jokes about "The Rebel Yell," or being "Hoist on the palanquin of ineffable scholarship."
