Finding Piscean Warriors
« on: September 15, 2014, 11:11:22 AM »
I painted my couple of Pisceans, sweet work by Troll Outpost:

I wasn't looking for anything dark. I know they are supposed to look grim and menacing, but as a matter of fact I didn't want the Menace of the Moray, I exploited the colour fish path:

Don't you recognize the pattern? Hmmm, maybe next one is more obvious...

I replaced the gun as it was my only (easy) way to make them different; all I had was a bolter, that will have to do.

You can find it all in the blog:
http://oldschoolworkshop.blogspot.com.es/2014/09/big-fish.html

I may now have to look for further Fishmen to build up a full band!

Haha, I was indeed looking for something both hilarious and different. I may have a look over the web and see how can I get the whole dentist's aquarium... ;D

Sure! Just contact the sculptor via Facebook:

He can also be reached in the Oldhammer Forum.

Both sculpt and cast are sweet. It took some time for the minis to arrive, but it was totally worth of.

They're cool, I like the Nemo paintjob.

The figure reminds me of the old Rogue Trader fish dude I have lying about somewhere... I didn't even order it, they threw it in as a freebie at some point. Maybe I should dig it up and paint it.

What? For realsies? All this time I've been sitting on a gold mine? Mine's not in a blister though, but back then direct mail order figures generally weren't (you could order any mix of figures you wanted and they all had individual names, sigh...)

Now I really have to dig it up...
