Oh man, that's so awesome. Fantastic paintjobs. It is amazing what you can make out of these old figures if some time is invested in painting them with modern techniques and the huge amount of paints and washes, glazes etc. that were not available 20 years ago. I love the bare-headed marines. I wish I could paint faces that well.  :-*

Very nice. Are you working on terrain for the scenario(s) too?

I've got most of what I need. I want to have a go at the ruined generator that sits a top Bulther's rise, I fancy using it to try out some weathering techniques.
Aside from that I may need to make some low walls to go with the ruins I've already got, then I'll be using palm trees for the orchard.

Thanks for the feedback folks.

Very nice.

If anyone is looking for the scenario in WD 94, PM me.

Great project! I think the Crimson Fists are more popular now than they have ever been ;)

Finished the last of the orks for Thrugg's patrol.

And a hopefully clearer shot of the whole patrol.

Just got the low walls to do and the defunct generator, then we're ready for the game, but, as these things have a habit of doing, one thing leads to another and I find myself wanting to flesh out my Squat mercs, finish off my original Aly Morrison Imperial Army, repaint my old Eldar pirate company, paint up all my Nid Hunter Slayers, and flesh out the orks some more with a couple of Dreads and some powered armour shock troops. lol

For now here's a photo of a swashbuckling Squat hero who's trying to muscle his way up the painting queue.

Got the generator done and the walls, but still no game as yet. I'll ty to fit it in next week and get an AAR done.

In the meanwhile got some Imperial army troopers done as a test for a new colour scheme, (i.e. different to how I painted them up way back when.)

Tried to keep it pretty close to how they were painted up in the original WD ad, what do you think?
