M1RT is FAR too obvious a designation, it needs something like M1A1(NCWS)A2 (Non-Crewed Weapon Station) or something equally convoluted  lol

The T-64 sounds promising - are you going to do it in a US camo scheme?  ;)

I'm not sure if it's of any interest, but a couple of guys over at the guild did some twilight 2000 stuff a few years ago. the biggest thread is on their old forum (http://theguild.informe.com/the-twilight-2000-project-dt323.html), although there are quite a few smaller threads on the new forum, I think you need to be a member to get to them...

Thanks for the reminder- the thread had some good stuff in it.

True, but I thought 'Mirt' was catchy... :D

Hey, I am Gunbird. I really should change that on this forum  :D

I'll look into my Photobucket to see what more I can find of our TW2K escapades. I don't think you will find much of Piers though, he lost the Moderns bug, it is all WW2 and earlier now for him.

That thread is awesome, it gives me many many ideas.

I'm considering making an M1E2 Giraffe, however, I'm not sure how to build it.

On the mini front, I've gotten my Elhiem order in, and based some of the minis.

The real deal (Giraffe) and yes, it looks different compared to the drawing.

I can't remember where I found them though.

Remember that the 3 crew, driver, commander and gunner all sit in the front and have their own scopes and exit hatches. Quite a bit of cutting or moulding to do to build one. I made one basic conversion before in 1/300 as a command base for CWC, but it was missing the extra hatches. I should add them in 1/72.

Just used my break to see if there are any updates in the intel, and I found these:

Same idea, different chassis

I found some models people made of the Abrams, but annoyingly when clicking on the pics on Google you get the Photobucket removed pageholder. Harumpf.

The Jordanians have developed a "low profile" turret for the Challenger 1. I don't know if it has entered service though: and more info/pictures: http://www.military-today.com/tanks/falcon_turret.htm

As an aside, I noticed the other day that S-Models do a few bits and pieces (BMPs, BRDMs, M113s, MUTTs, Sheridens) that could be useful for T2000:

I believe that one could be easily done with a hull from a M1 (or any M1 Abram's variant) plus the gun system from Stryker MGS - well at least in 20mm it's easy.

I'll be sure to try it out. However, I present to you:

M1 Abrams "Suspect Device"

I may or may not have been listening to Stiff Little Fingers while putting it together. It's a 1/72 M1E1 kit from Hasagewa.

SHould note this, it's still WIP.

Edit: Does anyone know where I could possibly find 20mm Punks?

I had found them, but they're apparently 1/72 "Heroic", or 25mm.

Unfortunately, those guys are way too big to mix with other 20mm ranges (pictures on this link: http://s1.zetaboards.com/Post_Apoc_Wargames/topic/5615135/2/) but apparently they are being resculpted in 'true' 20mm.

The best source for punks now is the old GW Dark Future range, which mix well with Elheim. Hotspue/Combat miniatures did a pack of rioters and another of armed criminals which, whilst not punks, are very definitelly 70's/80's and would work well for raiders

Long time, no post everyone. The campaign is finally occurring, and I have a nice little lineup of players, and some more background images.

This uses modified MOS Tables
-American 1st Lieutenant (Green Beret)
-American SFC (Ranger)
-Former British Spec 4 (Heavy Weapons)
-Former Australian Spec 4 (Air Force Base Security)
-Former Hungarian Spec 4 (Combat Medic)
-Former Soviet Spec 4 (Armor Crewman)

Interesting lineup, but I can make it work.

Now for some of the background images I've made.

Link to the rest in my gallery.

That's my update for now.
