[WIP] german antarctic uboat base
« on: December 07, 2006, 08:57:03 PM »
I'm working on a german u-boat base for an antarctic-style pulp game in february. My parents dropped by for a visit and I managed to snatch their digital camera for a few preview pictures :)

Of course, there's still a LOT of work, but I hope you get the idea:

some adventurers. Ignore the savages in the back ;)

The base. It fits the Brigade games uboat perfectly. I'll put a gun on the platform (where the tentacles are lying around now).

Another view, I'll add another board with ice floes.

Some flags and the doors

Pls let me know what you think :)
I was there the day that Horus fell.

Love the paint job on the figures. I can't get a good idea of the base from the photo. I can see what looks like a catwalk on the right. But I really like the integration of the outside and the building into one piece.

I hope we get to see more pictures.

Looks amazing! :o  Can't wait to see it finished, I'm sure it will look even better.

Really like the penguins.

That's a project that I want to do eventually as well.  Except in mine, there would be tentacles...   :)

Those are some well painted polar explorers, especially the penguins!!!

he? The tentacles in the pictures are not lying around there just for fun, they're part of the scenario, but I can't give you any details (yet) ;)

It looks great! :o
This makes me think about a possible scenario based in John Carpenter's film "The Thing". Maybe in a future....

This is a very cool piece! I am looking forward to seeing it come together. Are you going to write a hobby article on how you did it?
