Imagine my Turkish delight when my locomotive of the search discovered your website. I jumped with joy from the Divan and nearly dropped my lap top on my curly slippers!
Anyway as you might have guessed I’m building up a Turkish WW1 army to keep the British out of Ottoman territory. In the early 1920s, same army with some additions will attempt to carve out a homeland in the disputed territory of Askaristan - our club's version of the Back of Beyond. Not so much a “place in the sun” as a “place in the dust” I think. (sounds like good title for rules so © The Pasha).
My alter ego has been wargaming on and off for more than 30 years; in fact ever since he discovered that grown ups could still play with toy soldiers. Currently he's in the process of changing over from a plethora of 15mm to 25/28mm scales and is following up a medieval army with the WW1 Turks. So I'll be keeping a close eye on this site and hopefully making some constructive contributions from time to time.
