World Wasters Bogeys (Orky-Goblinny Kind of Fellows).
« on: October 06, 2014, 05:25:01 AM »
I've posted some pics of the soon to be re-released Bogeys from Steve Lortz's World Wasters game.Bogeys were a bit of light-hearted satire on 40K orks and goblins and are still really fun minis with a lot of character.

I like these.  There is a little bit of Gremlin in there.  I think that its the comparatively high tech equipment that appeals to me most.

Lovely minis and nice paintwork on them! Are they still ni production?

EDIT: ignore the question, just read your blog post, any idea when they're arriving?

Glad you all like them! I'm still trying to nail down a re-release date but for now here's Commander Robble:

They are pretty funky, love 'em. Somewhat inspired to make a sci fi goblin range now.

Commander Robble is great.  I'm really interested to see the armoured guys.

Somewhat inspired to make a sci fi goblin range now.

There is a hole in the market for modern ork miniatures in a similar style I think, like an updated version of the Rogue Trader era orks. I know that I am looking for some.

Oh dear, my mind is spinning with the possibilities. I rather like the idea that every mini could be unique, right down to different weapons as well, they're orcs.

I seem to recall there this line had a Bogey riding a bomb like Slim Pickens in Dr. Strangelove.  lol

The Bogey-bomber will be one of the re-releases as well!

They're great! I like the sculpts, the expressive eyes especially. I don't know if satire is the word you're looking for. The original space orks are already firmly tongue in cheek, after all. You can't really satire what's already a send up.
