Sir Gilbert Hill's renowned Intelligence Section, headed by M Samson Picardy, the famous Belgium detective, was most active recently when three consecutive battles were fought in Herefordshire. One of his agents, equipped with a brand new Nagel Vollenda camera, caught some of the action of the battle at Titley junction:

The peaceful scene prior to hostilities

Anglicans on the offensive

BUF armour awaits the onslaught

BUF cavalry

Italian flyer supports the BUF

Anglican advance along the railway track

Anglican lancers

BUF heavy armour. The sign on the gate is thought to refer to BUF propaganda

Sir Gilbert's account of his victory at Longtown is still in preparation. A photographic report from another of M Picardy's agents, present at the action at the road bridge outside Titley, is also expected soon.

Here's some photos of Table 1 which featured the amazing hill/railway-cutting/bridge made by Roo - great work, Sir...!

A tranquil part of Herefordshire

No longer tranquil - Territorials move in to defend against oncoming Welsh

And here they come - the Welsh advance

The Herefordshire Hunt moves up in support of the LDV

The Welsh doggedly advance up the hill

Royalist reinforcements move up

The Socialists, allies of the Welsh, move against the Kings Own Colonials

Great photographs and some amazing terrain. Quite a bit of inspiration for my VBCW project.  Looked to be a great game.

Whilst I'm happy to travel to Herefordshire a couple of times a year for these great games, it's time we got some Wiltshire action. My Wiltshire Police Flying Column are just about ready and Sir Gilbert is always looking for fresh pastures to annex liberate... :D

Yes - great to be part of those games, JP, even if Sir Gilbert's Volunteers only fired twice....! Still, in these difficult times, one cannot overstate the benefit of conserving ammunition for future use..... ;)

Thanks - I made scenic backgrounds for a few photos mainly to eliminate some of the more upsetting views of "wargamers' groin/belly..." :D  The plane, however, was more for aesthetic reasons...
