... at least, I haven't seen one around (prior to having built this one myself...) yet:

Part of the guns, controls etc still have to be added, but my (easy) question to you is: "what was used as a base for the hull of this "destroyer escort"?  If you wonder about the size: a 28mm figure just fits in between the flying bridge and the roof above it.

Naturally, it is made to hunt down PM and his foul contraptions, but more about that when it's competely finished  lol

Rudi

I'll tell you who was right tomorrownight in order to let you all have a go at it  ;)

Nice concept Rudi.

The base looks like part of a toy gun - maybe a water pistol?

Thank you, Curtis.  It will indeed be good against ground targets (its unique steering system makes it very manoevrable, more about that later...  ;) ), but the wings will also take torps.  Battleships beware!!!!  However, its prime task is to protect floating aircraft carriers (to be built at a later date...).

I may have to steal this idea too - it would be a perfect base for the aeronef i need for my French forces on Venus. Will have to see what is available at Toys'r'Us after work next week.

If it is based on some kind of "Super-soaker", WHSmiths had some on offer last week.

That kid scares the living daylights out of me.  :o

On topic, very nice! I´m curious how it´ll turn out in the end. It has a certain "Castle Falkenstein" quality to it, somehow reminds me of the Bavarian Aerial Battleships.

Damned! I can't be away from my steamcomputer for more than 12 hours and PM strikes again!  You are spot on, sir and all others mentioning "water pistol", "super soaker" etc also close enough.  Congrats, gents!

I knew PM's spies were closing in on me, but I had no idea they had already discovered the secret shipyard where the hulls for my ships have been constructed...

I'm sure his evil minions are already on their way to place some infernal device to blow up the yard, but, hé, he's welcome to it: I've got the hulls I require and paid around £1 more than his source charges, so bugger these merchants who want to take advantage of HM's (gaud bless'r...) treasury!  lol

On the other hand, Willie B's choice is a normal mistake (he only drinks water...) and so is Calimero's choice (he knows me well enough to link the model to my preference for good red wine...)  lol.

See you all when the finished model will be posted here!

Okay, that's awesome!

I think we should all go away and make one each, then meet up and fight some fleet actions  :-*
