Really nice!  Adam wields a mean brush, as well as a sculpting tool.

Very snazzy, just how one would picture them.

I got my hands on the 2 finished units Adam painted and tried my hand at some bigger photos.

Clibanarius(Unit Deal UD59)

Catafracts(Unit  Deal UD60)

Some of the rear etc.

Hope you enjoy them.

Cheers

Clearly Adam can paint as well as he can sculpt.

Now that the Sassanid cavalry is done (and I never expected to see so much variety) - what plans does Aventine have for the infantry?

Hi Delbruck

Adam is working on the rest of the range as I type. He has the legs for the infantry away with him and he is working on a command for the Avars as well as the Hunnic light horse. That will finish this one for now and we will do the Samnite cavalry.

I do not know what will appear first, it is down to how Adam feels as he sculpts.

As to what will appear for the infantry I have asked for close formation foot with large shield and separate heads(no bulbs), some archers and javelinmen along with some suitable for loose formation hillmen.

Cheers

I guess I missed the Huns. Is Adam doing Hun light cavalry as well?

I believe they will be enough to do nobles and light horse.

I have put in a bid for pointy-headed Huns, but the jury is still out!  ;-)

Absolutely in love with these figures! Especially the new Avars and Sughdians.   I have been waiting a long time for someone to produce beautifully sculpted Steppe Nomads. I spent last weekend at the Hermitage in St. Petersburg  marveling at the Scythian, Sarmatian, and Sughdian Gold in the treasure room.  The beauty of these Aventine figures, in my opinion, is that they can be used for horse nomads across a broad swath of history up until and including the Mongol period and beyond.  I would even use some of them for Kievan Russian Nobles. Thank you so much for producing this range! I'm very excited about the possibility of Huns as well. Please keep up the good work!  :D
