Victorian villain sculpt, The Man Who Grins
« on: 12 November 2014, 06:06:26 PM »
Taken a while, but here he is, bleeding-edge alternate head and everything.

As with the Gentleman Bat, casts will be up for limited sale in a while; but I'll let the other guys take charge of that. :)

Well, that's appropriately horrifying.

He's who Bill Finger based the Joker on.  Fascinating movie.  "The Man Who Laughs".  Great sculpt.  Love the obscurity!

Spot on! The inspiration for the sculpt was indeed Mr Veidt. A small group of LAFers have funded this sculpt and we hope to get it cast up. As with the Gentleman Bat figure (or one of the many names it got called) we hope to sell some casts to partially recover our sculpting and casting costs and perhaps to help fund a further sculpt. Unlike the previous sculpt we don't want to piss people off by not having enough figures, etc. So, taking a leaf from Blind Beggar Miniatures' guru and LAFer Mason, we will look to ask for interest and try and provide enough figures to meet that interest. A big plus this time is that we are retaining control of the master. We will open up a separate thread to gauge interest.

Really nice sculpt!  :-* I think he'd make a good stand-in for Malifaux's Seamus too.
