I'm not sure what happened there, but that came out tiny...

I can see all the bits of dust, hair and tiny gaps now...  :(

Thanks guys. Thought I'd show what can be achieved with 6mm in a single sitting, below was a single sitting of 5 hours, including dinner.

Started with a painted Leven joinery shop...

decided it needed a loading bay so had to build a platform from foamex for it...

It's a neat fit...

Drilled holes and put the uprights into them...

Then the horizontals, notice how I cut them long and have spare, this is the best way I know of of getting great joins...

Then trim those off and start placing the planking... also put a front staircase in.

and it's looking fine...

then onto the base...

using filler for the concrete, it was a bit damp so I wait for it to dry a bit and then smear it around...

and in go the uprights, etc...

then check everything still fits

Put in the struts for the signage out front and undercoat it the colour of the wood fencing, a much quicker way of painting the fencing than undercoating in another colour and coming back with a brush...

in any other scale I'd not have got so far so quickly of course...  ;)

The carpenters is finished, thanks to zizi666 for the help with the Flemish...

Enough room in the yard for two bases

Also finished another factory... not sure what to do about the signage... likely to be French and maybe auto related..

Started on a control tower.

Also had a spare chunk o' base so knocked up some barbed wire.

Yep, these just get better and better.

Do you have a larger mat that many of these will sit on? Or is this going to be an entirely tiled board?

Thanks.

I put them on a mat. I base them because they look better, makes storage easier and as I usually leave space for based minis on them allows a clear definition of a unit having control of a building.

What is that Green stuff you use as bases?

It's a hard 1.5mm plastic from a bloke called Brian in Bedford. I first used it for 30mm square bases for 6mm vehicles and liked it so much I got him to cut me some for buildings. It's great stuff with really minimal warpage, on the bigger bases, which are around 200mm the max warp I've had has been under 1mm. You can get it from him on ebay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/panshyne/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg= , tell him I sent you if you buy as it'll be some small compensation for just how many questions I ask him before each order.

Missed this earlier, and I'm glad I found it! Very few things beats a well built 6mm terrain piece :-*

Now, do some interior...
