7th Voyage: The Witching Hour Battle Report
« on: November 16, 2014, 05:10:14 PM »
With the people of Hessemeel being plagued by a crazed druid who had been destroying their village, they sent word to witch hunting extraordinaire, Wilhelm Van Varenberg, to rid them of this curse!

Wilhelm was followed into battle with a few angry zealots from the village, some warriors and his ever trusty bloodhounds. the druid and brought with him the creatures of the forest in the form of a hellhound, dire wolf and bat colony. A group of recently escaped asylum inmates had also joined him.

The wily druid sent his inmates and animals around the sides to flank or heroes while he used his concealment abilities to lurk around in the trees.

it wasn't looking a good round for the warriors, even after aiming they missed, until one of them struck a lucky blow and was able to take the dire wolf out.

The heroes victory didn't last long as the hellhound made short work out of one of the zealots, chomping him to bits. The bat colony was able to flank the archers, but thankfully for them, they remembered to pack their armour, so for all their flapping and screeching, they couldn't wound the warrior. Mean while, Wilhelm charged forward to meet the druid. After some initial misses, with a little luck and a wise use of an event card, he was able to strike the druid for a hit. First blood went to the witch hunter in this duel.

The remaining zealots tried their best to take down this viscous hellhound, but couldn't get a hit in.

it took all three warriors to finally take out the colony of bats that attacking them, freeing them up to assist in the rest of the battle.

One of the bloodhounds made a charge at an asylum inmate, mauling him good. Sadly, the rest of the pack didn't fancy it, and stayed put, leaving the poor dog all alone.

The witch hunter and druid fought back and forth. The druid clubbed the witch hunter non stop, but wasn't able to make it past his armour. Huzzah! The witch hunter striked fatal blow, taking the druid out. But the fight wasn't over as the remaining inmates weren't going to be returned their asylum inmates. One of which charged the witch hunter during his gripping battle with the druid and was able to stab him for one wound.

While the witch hunter and a zealot took out one of the pesky inmates, on one side of the ruined building, the last inmate took it upon himself to stab the lone bloodhound...What kind of person would do that?! :(

The warriors rained arrow after arrow upon the inmate until finally one sunk in.

Back to the asylum for you!...With a job well done, Wilhelm can go and bring the good news to the people of Hessemeel, and maybe even get a cup of their famous gluhwein for his troubles!  :)

As always with 7th Voyage, it was fast and furious and great fun  :D
