Basing Question For 28mm ACW
« on: September 03, 2008, 05:19:53 AM »
I just received the buy-five-boxes-for-a-hundred-dollars Perry ACW Plastics deal from Age of Glory to paint and sell.

I was wondering if there was a standard basing scheme for 28mm American Civil War? I was planning on doing 20mm x 20mm single bases for skirmishing troops and "change" with the majority being four to a 40mm x 40mm base. Most likely thick wood or MDF with magnets on the bottom.

I was wondering at what your thoughts were. Not basing isn't really and option I think.

Also what do you think about mixing shell jackets and coats on Union troops in a unit, or about painting specific units for that matter?

Any opinions would be great.

P.S. Oh, I'm doing this with the Warzone Bauhaus and Capitol plastics I got from the recent Prince August sale as well. And plan to start a hobby blog where working up these and other projects will be the initial focus.

The basing sounds a good idea to me, dont think you could get more flexible than that
