The Great Martian Trading Company recruited its employees from all corners of the British Empire and beyond. The only prerequisite was the ability to shoot a rifle with a degree of skill. So it was not unusual to see a Chinaman or a Baluchi standing alongside a retired British soldier or sailor on board the deck of any GMTC skiff or aeroneff...
