Nice!
Particularly fond of MC 1
Regards
Jim

Thanks - it's actually a bit rushed pj, would have liked to do better highlights on the blue and green, but I would prefer to get at least one more entry in, so had to cut the route short here and there.  :)

#43: Phagon - Commander Poi N'ta

Spacelords - of course I could have done one of the spanky new ones I got from Doug, but no - its 20+ years old unpainted lead from the mountain instead

Had to get something on here quick as you guys are powering along!

I meant to comment on this earlier, but it warms my MKIII Yoyodyne Ultraheart to see a sci-fi figure painted and based by the Pulp Alley folks.  A hint of things to come perhaps Mr. Phipps?  I hope so.

Glad you liked it. Nah, it's just some funny old miniatures that I have an excuse to paint.   ;)

Thats fair enough too.  PA is perfectly suited for pulp sci-fi play as it is anyway :)

On with the show...

#047 Roger Buck, Space Skeleton

The model is an limited edition Citadel figure from the 80s that someone was nice enough to give me recently.  I put up a blog post about it HERE.

Nice work gents- the space skeleton is great! I wish I had a few helmets like that to throw on the Mantic space zombies.

#048 Miri (or is it Samanda?)

Are you certain? I thought the riders were sculpted by Andrew Rae...

I bought a pack from Antenociti that had two bikes and two ladies :)

Are the rims on the casings actually there, or are they an optical illusion created by hightlights (or the photo)?

If they are part of the shape, I would like to know how they were made or where you got them from?

It's brass tube 'rolled' with a scalpel to cut them to length and the bur is just a natural occurrence of the cutting method. The trick is to keep your scalpel blade perpendicular to the tube, otherwise it goes of and won't cut through.

They were just cut out and stuck on with wood glue, nothing else was done to them  :)

cheers

James
