Loving the APC. I must resist the urge to get a 3D printer...
I have to back up beefcake on this one, if you have around 150€ to spare, go for it. I'm using the Ender 2 at home which has a very small buildplate (15x15 cm) but is big enough for most wargame-related prints. I bought it for 120€ in Germany plus 15€ per kilo of PLA-filament.
The finished APC takes about 100g, so the material cost is only around 1,5€ (+energy for about 12h of printing, which costs me around 0,25-0,50€ if I didn't mess up my calculation
).
Cost wise, this printer is one of my best hobby-investments ever.
I've been using higher quality FDM printers from Ultimaker and Stratasys at work, and while they are a lot more reliable when it comes to running prints for up to 20h/day all week, if you just want to print something small every couple of days, then a small and cheap printer will do the job just fine.
