Random Trek Mini
« on: December 17, 2014, 05:07:56 AM »
I was going to post this to the painting club but I just couldn't get a decent picture of him.

This is a 'not' trek figure I picked up from Matakishi awhile back. I knew the black would wash out a little.  Not sure why but I could just not get the detail of his face even using macro mode and manually adjusting the focus to be on his face.  Not enough contrast in my painting perhaps? Any one else had that happen to them?

Try adjusting your lights to get more light shining directly on the front of the figure.  It looks to me like a problem with the face being slightly in shadow, rather than a painting problem.
