Huge resin dragons. A quest to find the maker.
« on: December 21, 2014, 04:21:31 PM »
A couple of years ago (2012 ) I saw a trader at Penarth Crusade and Colours at Newbury, who was selling fantastic resin dragons and other models. The dragons were I should guess about 30cm long, one was perched on a pillar of rock with it's tail coiled round the pillar. Other models included a giant and a treeman/ent with a green man type face with it's arms outstretched. Has anybody got any ideas who the seller was, and if they are still trading?

I've probably still got the map of the 2012 Colours show if you can remember whereabouts you saw it..

(I tend to save them, exactly because of this problem -- remembering seeing something nifty but not remembering who.)

Great, a good idea , I wish I was that organised. They were on the ground floor at the far end by the tall windows in the left hand corner....I think Paul Meekins books were next door in the right hand corner.

Hooray!!! Well done Manic Miner, I knew LAF would come up trumps. It's MDP for sure. I want the Treeman for my 54mm ECW/Witchhunt collection (toy soldier style), based on the monster in Kingsley Amis novel "The Green Man" (yep, eclectic but there you go  ;D)
many thanks

Glad to help. They do some of the model show's too.

Will you be using the Witchunter General rules for the larger scale too?

If I ever get round to playing a game I might consider those rules. I was excited when they came out, but wasn't that impressed by the rulebook if I remember correctly. Currently seeking a 54mm plague doctor figure as well.

Thanks Manic...I don't get a lot of time to do all the projects on the go, all the time. Treeman ordered from MDP. :)
