Judge Dredd / 2000AD / Mega City One Project
« on: January 06, 2015, 07:53:47 AM »
Over the last month, I've been working on designing some Terra-Block pieces to enable a Mega-City one interior style gaming board to be constructed. I still have a big list of pieces to design, but last Friday some friends came over for a days gaming so the terrain had it's first outing for a Judge Dredd game using Pulp Alley.

I have a stack of photos that I took on Friday that need editing, so will add some more during the week.

Here are some additional photos of our Terra City One Project.
Their are many more photos of Terra-Blocks in action in our Terra-Block Gallery: http://wargamesbuildings.co.uk/Terra-Blocks/Terra-Block-Gallery

I will be taking some more photos later today, including some interior shots of the buildings.

You are really making a good case for investing in Terra- Blocks Chris, that is one of the most comic book accurate tabletop representations of a Dredd strip that I can recall.  It looks like an interior level of a large citi-block.  Fantastic.

Do you have a range of acrylic signs available on their own?

Glad you like it.
I designed it because I am a gamer, and wanted the best solution for my own groups gaming needs which could be reconfigured to make a different lay out every time. I hope that some other people find it useful to.

The pillars, walkways and floor plates will be this months new release. The pillars come in sections so that you can build them as high as you want and the sections will come as a plain, single and double advertising option.
The acrylic signs will be available separate from the pillars in sets. I currently have 5 slogans, but am planning to add some more, so if you have an advert you would like included let me know on this thread and I will get one made!

This is release one of our Terra-City One Project, I have another 12+ items on my to do list including 10cm square pillars that will take advertising hoardings and support dual carriageway sections above the roofs of buildings. I'm always open to suggestions, so if their are some pieces you would like to be included, just let me know.

I am sure that they will, it looks absolutely wonderful.  If I was not already heavily invested in other terrain options it would be very high on my list.

So... many... options :)

References to Dredd related products (e.g. Otto Sump, BOING), references to Dredd related places (Dan Tanna Block, Resyk, Tween Block Plaza etc) or events ("Max Capacity presents CHOW-DOWN!") and the like would be high on my list, but they are IP, so are probably not suitable.

I like the "Vote Apathy" sign, its great.  It fits in very well with the general vibe of Mega City 1 and is more than passable for a Rogue Trader style 40k environment too, for starters.  I would definitely be interested in investing in a range of "Futuristic Urban Dystopia" signs to decorate my terrain.  I will have a think about suitable, non-IP infringing ideas.

It's a block war. Rival gangs move into position.
Gang figures from GW Necromundum & Foundry Street Violence.

I have now added a gallery just for Judge Dredd shots, with larger sized photos available:http://wargamesbuildings.co.uk/Terra-Blocks/Terra-Block-with-Judge-Dredd-Miniatures-Game/Judge-Dredd-2000AD-Wargame-Gallery

I agree with Cheetor, that's a really good representation of what I picture for a Mega City block interior.
a mixture of quick parts, sarcastic humour, reserve, and caprice.

Glad you like it.
If you would like to game on it, we will be taking it to Hammerhead convention in February (Newark) to run participation games on.

Here's a view of the Eatery with Stairwell roof off and Judges moving down stairs.

Here's a view of same building with roof removed. An arrest is imminent.

80% of the stuff in the shots are standard Terra-Blocks which are available now, the new stuff to give it that Terra-City One look are the pillars and walkways. They will be released by the end of January.

More information on Terra-Blocks at : http://wargamesbuildings.co.uk/Terra-Blocks

Wow! That is some really impressive terrain there and usable in almost any SF universe.  I really like it.
This is my boomstick!
