I'm on vacation, lads!!!!
Three weeks, full of painting, reading and gaming  :P
Last winter i've painted the Forgeworld mammoth. This time, i thought, it's time to paint another one, the Westwind Dwarven War Mammoth

Mammoths have long been my HOLY GRAIL as far as minis go....I searched forever to find the Old Grenadier Mammoth (not the undead one)...of course I about fell over when I first saw the Forgeworld one, as he is kind of the pinnacle of that sort of thing.  I bought it when it first came out, but it has languished in the box until I can get the courage up to assemble it....

I've been eyeing this Dwarf one for some time....its pretty fantastic looking....

How does it 'compare' to the Forgeworld one?  Could you post a pic of both together?

I'll be following this thread with great interest!

For sure it's smaller - Nobody can produce that enormous chunks of plastic as Forgeworld does.

"Uh, I better look in the manual... This book must be out of date. I don't see "Prussia", "Siam" or "autogyro"...

Thats fantastic!  Thank you so much for posting a pic of them side by side....The Chaos One is much bigger, but then again, he is supposed to be the 'Father of all Mammoths'...

That Dwarven one still can hold his own.  Maybe this is the encouragement I need to pull mine out of the box!!
