the yellow blue? i'd have done it brown leather. or i'd have used the same colour scheme for the girth and for the dwarves uniforms, too.

I think it depends on the color scheme for your dwarves. If the blue/yellow is part of their heraldry I would keep it. I also think it adds a nice splach of color to a model that has a lot of browns and tans already in it..
