Brawling figures in 28mm?
« on: October 07, 2018, 05:12:16 PM »
Hi!

I recently had the idea to make a quick and fun multi-player tavern brawl game based on the old White Dwarf game Brewhouse Bash. Although this game features only Orcs, I'd like to have all sorts of fantasy folk around - the more variety, the merrier.

Unfortunately, I have real difficulties finding figures. I want to have drunk ruffians, not heavily armed murder hobos. So no heavy armor and, most importantly, no weapons, apart from the occasional broken bottle or bar stool.

Can you think of any figures that might fit the bill?

Thanks for your help!

'Brawling Dwarf' by Bears Head Miniatures seems perfect.

'Sir John ejaculated explosively, sitting up in his chair.' ... 'The Black Gang'.

This ogre from Heresy should fit the bill:

There is an older version in metal that you may be able to get on eBay for a reasonable price.

Oh, there I stumbled in, thought "hey this may be an interesting thread for that things the boys are planning". Turns out of course it's one of "them boys" who started it. :D Yup, that dwarf is really cool

@Comsquare: What size are those? 28mm?

You could probably find some suitable fantasy football type figures, some of the less spiky ones.  Also the frostgrave plastic soldiers with some weapon snips could be a good start for a boozy mob.

And theres this dwarf from ral partha

And some reaper dwarves
