Murat Reis and renegade corsairs?
« on: January 21, 2015, 09:02:27 PM »
I was wondering these days if there are any miniatures representing the barbary corsairs and european renegadoes in particular. Would 16th/17th century Ottomans and Jannissaries work enough?

If you don't believe in lead, you're already dead.

Outpost Wargaming Services in the UK has some nice bashi bazouk models that might easily do double duty as barbery corsairs. Mind you some of their weapons might be too modern, but the fancy cloths they wear would fit right in.
