So having asked about 28mm space opera, I've also been continuing with the pile of 15mm Sci-Fi I have. I've only been back in the hobby a few months after a long break and I'm not well versed in photographing minis so I'll work on improving these - they're a little washed out.

I'm mostly painting 15mm Sci Fi for small games of Five Parsecs from Home, it's a great system for the skirmishes I enjoy. I tend to pick at them whilst working on other bits and bobs, especially whilst I'm converting stuff for one of my main projects at the mo:

These guys work really well as security/police/paramilitary.

A wee bounty hunter - really pleased with his armour.

This next guy is still a little WIP, but they're a black powder level alien race I'm working on about 30 of to fight against my GZA FSA. Basically French Foreign Legion battles... in spaaaaaaace. They're Blue Moon Plains Indians with some GS work. Pretty crap casts so this is about as well as I can paint them.

I've actually pretty much finished 10 of them now, but I want to improve my photos before hand. What's the best bet for iphone 6 images?

Like them all, but that is a pretty cool conversion of the woodland Indian.
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

Thanks -as a group they're quite distinctive, and it's not too challenging as a conversion to carry out on all of the troops. Hopefully I can show some more off tonight.

They all look great but I'm really liking that bounty hunter; where is he from?

Cheers,
Damien

Critical Mass Games, same as the ones in the first image.  That particular one is here:

They look just as good in person.

It's been a wee while since I finished any 15mm stuff, medieval plastics have distracted me recently but here's a few new bits.

The first group of FSA from GZG. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the idea of foreign legion in space, they'll be facing off against the Karkath that I'm working on (see first post). They're awaiting flocking whilst I decide exactly what to do.

Then we have some 20mm Emperor's Shock Troops from MJ figures. In terms of sixe the FSA come up to their shoulder, so I'm imagining them as some tall, humanoid race that a baron/ambassador/uppity crime lord might have as a regal guard. I'll be painting this bloke (who's pretty massive for 15mm himself) to go with them:

must be said, that jade colour (vallejo Emerald) is one of the least consistent paints I've ever used. Dries much darker and doesn't always give a consistent colour. Ho hum.

Fantastic work on all of these :)

They make some paint-jobs I've seen on much larger miniatures look very sub-par.

Some very nice work on these, really like the use of colours.

And having looked at the blog - you have the same problem as me, not finishing stuff!!

Thanks all - that's very kind.

@Inso - I'm pleased with my 15mm pinging but I wish I could just be that touch neater, I can never quite hit the level of crispness I'd like. New glasses needed! Love everything you're doing by the way, can't wait to see your Jedi beastmen finished.

@Fred - yup. I have three problems - one is flitting inspiration. The second is that I just can't spend time painting once I lose inspiration, I just have to park it, and thirdly I'm a lazy painter so sometimes I launch into colourschemes (like the yellow around blokes above) and find it a real grind to finish. Basically - I'm lazy!

I know what you mean about yellow - decided to do my Epic Space Marines as Imperial Fists, so lots of yellow, its the hardest colour to paint and get any consistency of colour.
