Star Wars Speeder Bike scale help?

I am looking for 3 x Imperial Scouts on Speeder Bikes roughly 28mm. The WOTC versions are ideal but run around $20 each. In my searching I have seen some talk about using the Star Wars Titanium speeders. I just can't find a photo comparing Titanium vs WOTC or even a photo of the Titanium speeder next to a WOTC miniature. Does anyone have the Titanium speeder or have seen photos? Any help would be appreciated.

I was going to suggest looking at the various 3d printing websites as so many things are covered on them these days but I was surprised to find there were none. Open source CAD files for the things are widespread tough so if you know anybody with a printer you could be in luck.

Mmmm Speeder Bikes are a problem, aren't they?  I got a couple of the Titanium speeder bikes.

The riders are very big - probably closer to 54mm than 28/30/32.  They're even a bit too big for the bikes...

Bikes themselves are not bad.  You can certainly do something with them if you feel like converting a WOTC plastic scout trooper.

My solution was to say "they'll do" - as long as you don't put them too close to any other figures.

My other hope is that FFG will come out with some scouts on bikes for Imperial Assault. But fast vehicles like that don't seem to fit the "dungeon crawl" feel of the IA board layout.

I have considered them knowing they would be smaller. But the prices on ebay are almost as much as the WOTC ones. I remember someone used to sell the WEG miniatures at some HMGS cons but that was years ago. Unless there is another source? At least they have 2 speeders per pack.

Can't remember whether there are any Action Fleet diecasts, but there are a couple of packs in the Micro Machines range too and they go for reasonable prices.  The figures are close to the WotC ones.

Heck there's one in the Galactic Heroes range, but that would definitely need modifying.

I think there were ones marked 'Action Fleet' that were SLIGHTLY larger MicroMachine scale; I think Titanium might be a better bet, but don't know if there were any.

I was going to go to the basement and have a peek for some other stuff. Where's my hardhat and repelling rope...

That won't be a perfect match, but If you're not against some (maybe a bit more) conversion work, you could try the Cobalt Mercenary jetbike. It's quite affordable too:

I did the same on Black Hat links before someone corrected me - you need to remove the session ID at the end.

Check out this picture, it will give you a better idea of the scale of the titanium ones.  I simpy cut the driver off and repainter the seat. You could mount the bike on a smaller base and use it as a vehicle that your miniatures could all pilot.  Just put a scout trooper next to it or rebel character.

Not exactly a Star Wars speeder bike , but the Aussies from the Stargrunt line had bikes called "Whalers" , named after the big horses the Aussies rode in WW1 . The model looks very much like a speeder bike and is close to 28mm and I believe the whole rider body is separate.
