Thanks guys  :)
It's always the fancy places with nice wallpaper that seem to be the most corrupt  lol

Really nice stuff! Do you just spray right over the out of the box parts for the repaint?

^Yep.  It works a treat.  Particularly with thick paints like the Army Painter spray/primers.  It goes on in one coat.  I've done a couple the same way.  Also the DMH kits (of similar size) have some mix/match capability, so you can really build quite a few variations.

Those buildings are fantastic.  I had never considered doing the inside of my buildings - but now, who knows.  Nice job on the bank robbers as well.

Thanks a lot!  :) It's really easy to be inspired by all the brilliant threads here for sure. Like I mentioned in the saloon build, there definitely is a fine line between improving your model and sliding into "doll house" mode  lol
I think it definitely improves the overall look though, so I'm sure I'll continue to do it in the future.

Been a long time since I've done an update, though I have been working on the town.
Here's a few photos of our last game and a link to my first attempt (be gentle  lol) at an AAR. More photos in the link.

Amazing! What a town!  :-*  :-*

I somehow missed this one, but you have my attention now Ivor.

All that brightly coloured MDF looks fantastic, and gives the town a unified cheerful atmosphere. The perfect spot for slapstick gaming, and gun slinging shenanigans. :D

The gun range is particularly nice  :-*

Cheers
Matt

Brilliant, Ivor!
Very cinematic.
 8) 8)

Nothing like having someone jump on the roof of a moving stage is there?
 ;)

The town looks great in those shots.
I must add more signs to my place, they look brilliant.

Thanks Matt, appreciate the kind words!  :)

It definitely was the highlight of this game! A brilliant move by my friend and hopefully it will up the ante in all our future games!

It is amazing how the right sign can really make a building more visually appealing! To be honest, I think maybe there are still probably 4 or 5 existing buildings that I want to CHANGE their signs!? Always a work in progress.  lol

Those signs really are well-done though.

Yeah, my little western world has a liking of printed product too. Wanted posters are stuck on every corner, and adverts are stuck up in the back lanes, and newspapers litter the floor. You'd think the council would install recycling bins ;)

My printer is firmly in the 1 colour camp, he would be rather envious of all your neon coloured posters  ;D They really are fetching and add life/history to the town. 8)

Cheers
Matt.

Nothing wrong with your posters etc, Matt.
I will probably go along the same route.
Whilst Ivor's town looks wonderful with all those splashes of colour, I think plainer signs would work best in mine too.
 ;)

Thanks Paul, I was just trying to say I liked Igor's posters too - perhaps I should have posted after my coffee lol

I'd imagine that late 1800's printing presses/jobs were mostly 1 colour affairs, with the splashes of colour in town being the beautifully painted store signs/windows + fabric banners and bunting.

It's quite feasible to do both colour & BlackWhite in a "glitzy" prosperous OW town, but early border/mining towns may be a bit rougher, and more simple affairs.

Personally I have been trying to do BW advertising on my rustic OW buildings, and faded colour adverts on my PostApoc. But both do have some kind of paper litter - I think it's working so far to tie them together.  ;D

Cheers
Matt
