Yes, I have it.
A complete waste of money.
I bought it because I had the other parts too. You know....its a collectors thing.
The looks of the book ( actually its not a book ) is good. Nice pictures in it. But thats all.

Here is what you get for roughly 24 bucks

New Weapons including Martial Arts Weapons.

Rules for a Chinese Tong Gang.

Hired Guns ( TWO )
Clint Eastwood AKA the unknown Gunfighter and the Masked Avenger.

Three Scenarios

Rules for How To Run a Campaign with an unexpected event chart ( every one in the player universe can do this on its own )

Some ( very small info ) about The Wild Bunch, Gangs in New York, Prohibition Era, French Indian War, War of Independence and the Civil War ( Each only a half page the other half is a picture )

Than we have the usual sample pages of gangs and the pages of how to build a chinese laundry and a mexican house.

This book is a complete waste of money. If you can avoid it dont buy it.
GW could have done a free PDF download but before that happens hell freezes over.

Thanks for the comment, Björn. I was really tempted to buy this one just for the 'Gangs of New York' and 'Prohibition Era' rules. Now I won't...

Hagen, I was too but asked the same questions on the Yahoo groups and got the same reply.

For Gangs of Newyork, your best bet is the TVAG rules B`hoys. A very good set of rules and figures to match I have just received the Secons edition and it is sharp and has all the mechanisms, counters and charts you could need.

In addition with the exchange rate and the reasonable pricing and postage it is not too much to pay at the moment and Patrick is a great guy to deal with

I liked the Tong Gang but that's not enough to justify the high price. I bought it nonetheless because  -like Driscoles- I am a collector.  :?

G* being G*, I expect to see a Golden Collector's Edition (combining all four books) in about 1-3 years time ...

Say, Grimm, if you´re that disappointed, would you be interested in swapping it, maybe as payment for the Gunboat I´m constructing for you? I´d still like to own it...

This is not good news for LOTOW fans like myself. I will probably buy it just for the collection. I have the other books but I must admit that I mainly play out of the original rule book (I run a Lawmen posse).

Got mine yesterday, and I'm sorry to admit that Driscoles is completely right!
I got the feeling they lost the interest in completing the book, but felt they had to do it as they had announced it long enough and just put what they had inside. Written as it is it is pure impertinence.
If you come for the king, you better not miss (Omar)

I've been playing "The Rules with No Name" all these years, and although I've been tempted by LOTOW, I have yet to give in.

Guess that won't change!

Some of the Lord of the Rings books are only 48-50 pages and contain lots of pictures etc. Maybe it is a GW standard for generating easy money. In saying that most GW publications are a high quality.

This should not end in GW-bashing. After all, there are only two Warhammer historical Products I would call unnessecary, Showdown and Spartacus. The rest is either good or very good value for your money.

Despite numerous issues regarding pricing, I'll never slag off GW for the quality of their product, and every salesperson I met was eager, enthusiastic, and helpful. Made a few friends there as well.

So this isn't GW bashing, just Showdown-letdown.
