Xyston carthaginian elephant
« on: February 05, 2015, 07:53:41 AM »
Good morning guys.

A 15mm scale Xyston carthaginian elephant; My first attempt at painting miniatures for five years.

I dry brushed to give the model a campaign look.

Only a couple of little modifications.

[forgive the bad lighting, still re-learning to use my camera]

Stuart.  :)

Barrowclough; "Have you got any valuables here, Fletch?
Fletcher; "Only what I always keep in my pyjamas"
Blanco; "He could have been after your lemon barley water; "
Fletcher; "What - in my pyjamas? Funny shaped bottle"

Thanks guys.

Yes, a little over 5 years not painting and minis.

If I tackled this model again I'd probably cut off the spearmen's legs and peg them into the tower, but I enjoyed painting the model, which is what's important.

Stuart.  :)

Turned out great!  Would never have guessed you took five years off painting.
