King Tiger - Italieri 1:72 done
« on: September 20, 2008, 10:10:49 AM »
Hi again,

another German tank finished, this time a King Tiger - Italieri 1:72 kit with additional AB crewman.

The kit was absolutely gorgeous to build; everything fitted perfectly - what a pleasure!

More pictures on my website as usual...
cheers and keep on gaming, Agis - http://www.adpublishing.de

He, he! Sharp eyes! I am not sure if the model really holds acigarette, but I thought it would be a nice touch to give the German tanker a well deserved American cigarette...

I really like your armour pieces, Agis.  One question - how much construction do you do before painting? Complete or sub-assemblies? I haven't done small scale armour for years, mostly 1/35 scale lately.  Decided to work on some 1/72 models for a change, considering how many I've got.  My lead mountain is only a gentle slope compared to my plastic Himalayas!

He, he, somehow plastic mountains grow faster, or? Must be the bigger packaging!
I am almost every time assemble the whole model, sometimes I did not glue the crewmen to the model and paint them separately. Sometimes a sub assembly is necessary (driver in a truck or so), but as said, these are rare occasions.
