Skull Island Project - pictures of games on page 2
« on: February 13, 2015, 02:53:28 PM »
Some figures for a game that my grandchildren and I will be playing later this year

Well something completely different for me.  Some 28mm figures for various games that my grandchildren and I will be playing this year.

First up some natives for the Skull Island Game (you have already seen the Skull Mountain and King Kong)
The Queen, King, witch doctor and victim

The dancers

Mighty Kong??

Of Course!  Callum, the eldest grandson (aged 7) helped build and paint Skull Mountain.

And I didn't even have to chant!

How are you doing the layers? Some kind of Insulation board?

Like the Skull as well. :D

"Kong be mighty!"

The mountain is carved from pink foam insulation stuff that I got at a builder's yard.

The skull came from the Pound Shop at Halloween.

The table is filling up.  Callum (age7) was "helping" by selecting the terrain and creatures.  Possibly too much but not all the creatures will be on at one time.

Behind the wall - the warriors dance to work up courage in the village (details to be added), up on the wall the king and Volcano Queen watch Kong.

The wall - Gate still to be added

Kong meets Ann

The Ruins

The Volcano

The Swamp

The River

The Tyrannosaur and some Pygmies

More on the Pygmies later.

And there might be cavemen too.

Not sure I have the space for any more!

I may add an alternative top to Skull Mountain if I can get a suitable skull cheap enough.
