(COMMERCIAL) Ral Partha is back!

While I was at Gary Con last month, I was talking to Iron Wind Metals; they told me that they were going to bring back the classic Ral Partha miniatures, and they have: http://www.ralpartha.com/

There's a Kickstarter starting tomorrow, and lots of stuff going on. They also sent me a dozen sample figures, classic Tom Meier sculpts, and they all look great - very crisp. very clean, and quite a nice selection.

I got started in miniatures about the same time they did, in the middle 1970s, and it's like having an old friend come home. Incredible!

This is great news  All my earliest armies were Ral Partha and I still have them. Seeing those elves, orcs, wolf riders etc has me excited and thinking about adding to those old true 25mm armies once again

Not shure if the Chaos Wars rules are up to todays standards. But I LOVE the Tom Meier Goblins and lately got some of the wire-spear elves, I want to to expand both armies a little and there are loads of other old RP minis I would love to see re-released.

Great campaign, sadly almost over

Just the odd stretch-goal not met. My favourite ones were, luckily. I do wish they had advertised it more. Miniature news sites publish the most pointless updates for some kickstarters, yet I saw little for this one.

Out of interest, any reason this thread was posted in the commercial section, while many other kickstarters/crowd funding threads are just the the "adventure" sections (often by the creators)? I know I check the fantasy section multiple times a day, while I almost never look here.
