Should be a very nice looking group: GW's LoTR Rohirrim minis are some of my favourite.

I have most of the warband painted already, just need to paint some hearthguards and archers (and rebase about half the models, but that is a minor detail that can be postponed).
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

I'd be very interested to see what you do with the Rohirrim as I have a bunch of them lying around and would like some Saxons of my own.

My mojo is low at the moment - very cold spring around here, combined with lots of work and confirmation party preparations right now, leaves Little energy for the hobby.

I expect to get a bit done NeXT week, as I have only two workdays - but the garden (especially the grass) needs some attention, soon.

Great blog... just now found the time to go through the whole thing and you really make these models come to life. Keep up the good work

Argonor, for your inspiration: http://www.battlebrushstudios.com/2015/06/tutorial-my-kind-of-town-make-of-dark.html

 ;)

Hey, that's mine! :D Thanks very much for spreading the word, dinohunterpoa. :D

Also: O hai thar, Codsticker. ;)

@Argonor: That's a very cool project you got going here. One question (out of curiosity) based on your latest WIP shots: Do you glue the shields to the minis before painting?

Thanks, guys. On top of the low mojo, I have been down with a nasty stomach-flu the last 1½ week, so I have even less energy at the moment (and the grass just keeps growing).

Yes, I assemble everything before priming. It creates some 'blind spots' on some minis, but the shading wash masks any mistakes made on that behalf, and when block'n'wash speed painting, it saves some time.

A lot of real life entanglements widely kept me away from the hobby for most of the last year.
However, I am slowly turning up the heat again, and expect to see some SAGA gaming quite soonish (at least within the next month), and that should motivate me to do some more work on the Rohan/Anglo-Saxon warband.

For now, I just dug out this thread and moved it forward, so I can find it more easily when I have updates - which, as stated, should happen in a not so distant future...

SAGA is delayed, but I have begun cleaning and assembling this pop-culture icon:

Those metal Rohirrim look much better than the plastic ones that came out later.  They should look great once you are finished with them.

Those are 'Royal Guard', and I am going to use them as such (Hearthguard), the rest of the warband is plastic, though.

I finished assembling Ladgerda today, but she still has some flash/moldlines I have missed  >:(
