Rebasing for Blucher
« on: March 11, 2015, 01:34:38 PM »
Just getting ready for a Multi-Corp Napoleonic game using Blucher, part of the Honor series from Sam Mustafa.
Looks like a great game.

So far I've just done a couple of test bases to see how they look.

I've used a magnetic strip at the back of the base, and then mounted the stats on some steel vinyl.

I've been making some progress on re-basing for Blucher and have my first half a dozen units completed.

This is the Sally 4th 'pace-stick' measuring device for measuring in one base width intervals.

Interesting. I like the look of these - a mix between counters and figures. Are the figures 6mm, or smaller?

What are the little cut outs at the front of the base for?

Here's a picture of figures on Sally 4th Blucher bases before flocking so you can see the cut outs better.
The ones at the side are to mark the arc for firing and charging.
The one at the centre, marks the centre for measuring from.

The figures are 6mm Baccus miniatures, but with Blucher you can fill your base with what ever size miniatures you like.

Very nice, I like the look of these.

I have a large number of figures already in 15mm that I want to adapt for Blucher. I use them for Shako and Black Powder. For Blucher I have decided to indicate the various attributes with add on physical markers. So understrength units either have an element of troops missing, or a casualty marker, Overstrength I attach a Pioneer figure on a round base, and for skirmishers a pair of figures on a 25mm circle. If it has attached artillery then the  battery is positioned to touch the base. Any of these markers touch the base to which they are attached, but can be positioned anywhere as they have no physical value in the game, they are jus thee to avoid annotation of bases.  I am toying with the idea of using small pegs inserted into holes drilled in the back of the bases to denote elan or ammunition expenditure, like a cribbage board. Dry wipe markers always seem to get messy after a while.

Best

Glad you like them, we have had a lot of interest and people asking for bases and measuring device in different base widths, so we have rescaled them all to cover all popular base widths (I hope).

Miniatures base and etched deployment / Nationality cards together with measuring device are now available in the following widths:
3.5" / 3" / 2" / 1.5"
90mm / 80mm / 60mm / 50mm / 40mm
